A successful day of screenings

Nearly 90 people were tested at the latest free CRY Heart Screenings in Ealing on Sunday, November 10.

Tom’s mum, Claire, said “This is the fifth year in a row we have been able to hold screenings in west London thanks to fund-raising by our friends and supporters. We are pleased that so many people took up the opportunity in the month that would have been Tom’s 21st birthday”

Of the 86 people tested, 8 will have further reviews.

As ever, we are grateful to the CRY team, pictured with us above, for their enthusiasm and professionalism.

CRY’s efforts in contacting people with reminders in advance of the event (thanks Suzanne), paid dividends, with numbers up on last year and fewer cancellations.

Ealing: Five places left for free CRY heart screenings

As of 10am today there are five places left for Sunday’s free heart screenings in Ealing for young people aged 14-35.

Ealing screenings: places may still be available

There have been some cancellations for Sunday’s free heart screenings in Ealing.

If you want to be on the waiting list in case of any further drop-outs, please contact Suzanne at CRY by emailing suzanne@c-r-y.org.uk. She’s back in the office on Thursday so you’re unlikely to get a response before then.

We’re not sure how likely there are to be spaces as the event has been over-subscribed but it is worth a try.

Next free heart screenings in November

Tom’s Fund is sponsoring free heart screenings for young people aged 14-34 in Ealing on November 10.

The screenings are now fully booked.

The 2012 Ealing screenings

The 2012 Ealing screenings were fully booked and more than 70 young people were screened at the Florence Road surgery in Ealing in November.

Ealing Choral Society had raised many thousands of pounds for Tom’s Fund when they held a charity Christmas Carol Concert in 2011.
