More than 1,000 walk in support of @CRY_UK #12a week

Members of Team Tom 18 on the CRY 2025 Heart of London Bridges Walk.

For the eighteenth year in a row, a huge thank you to all those who walked on behalf of Team Tom on the 2025 CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk.

As ever, it’s very much appreciated that people gave up their time to take part on Sunday, June 22, especially given it was such a lovely summer’s day.

Thank you, too, for the donations and messages of support.

Team Tom were among the 1,078 people who turned out to raise awareness of CRY and the charity’s work. Twelve young people aged between 14-35 die every week in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions.

A week to the walk! @CRY_UK

There’s one week to go before this year’s Cardiac Risk in the Young Heart of London Bridges Walk on Sunday, June 22.

The event is one of CRY’s biggest opportunities to raise awareness of the 12 young people aged 14-35 who die every week in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions.

Since the first CRY walk in 2007, those taking part have also raised nearly one million pounds for the charity.

You can register for this year’s event here.

Great turnout for the Robert Rowan invitational match @CRY_UK

The third Robert Rowan Invitational proved to be a wonderful evening at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium on Monday, May 19.

A large crowd watched the game, played in memory of Robert Rowan, Brentford football club’s Technical Director. He died aged 28 in 2018 from an undiagnosed cardiac condition.

Robert’s widow, Suzanne, is a Cardiac Risk in the Young representative and a driving force behind the Heart of West London partnership, which brings together the football club and charities, including CRY, who share a mission to improve cardiac health and save lives.

The football might have been secondary to raising cardiac awareness among the young but the majority of the crowd were delighted to see Brentford B hammer Tottenham’s U21s 6-1 in the evening sunshine.

All of the proceeds raised by the event will go towards the Heart of West London.
