Claire’s work with Tom’s Fund was recognised locally when she was nominated for an Ealing Gazette “Pride in Our People community award.
In the run-up to Christmas 2010, Tom’s friend Luca Fruzza, along with Rory Lehane, played a 48-hour gaming marathon against the clock to raise money for Tom’s Fund.
Such was the success of the event that they held a follow-up a year later.
Our second year of free heart screenings for young people was part of CRY’s second national Test My Heart tour. Waitrose in West Ealing was kind enough to host the event over three days in November.
For the third year, Team Tom III stepped out as it took part in the CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk in July 2010.

People have taken part in all sorts of events to raise money for Tom’s fund. In 2010, family friends the Panzers walked the Alps. They raised more than £1,100.
